We are a VR game developer and publisher of both internal and third-party VR titles based in Stockholm, founded by industry veterans, creating games set in beautiful, rich and immersive worlds. We are now looking for a TA-Artist to strengthen our development team.
About the role
As a Technical Artist at Fast Travel Games you enjoy solving complex, hard-to-define problems and working closely with talented artists and designers. You will also research and develop art pipelines that will help your coworkers do their work more efficiently and easily on a daily basis. You are a problem solver that collaborates with Art and Tech, and is passionate about creating unforgettable experiences!
What you'll do
Work closely with other Technical artists and Art Directors to maintain as well as push the style and quality of our games
Profile and make sure we are on target with performance
Be involved in the art pipeline and help with technical tasks
Create tools for artists for tedious tasks and reduce human error
Create Materials, VFX and scripted events
Technical setup, integration, troubleshooting and fixing bugs
Knowledge of game development in Unreal Engine (or equivalent)
Knowledge of profiling tools like Insights and Render Doc
Have a good knowledge of Blue Prints
Ability to communicate clearly and proactively with other creatives and stakeholders
Creating optimized VFX in various ways.
Being able to hit established art targets in various styles
Fluent in English.
Nice to have
Shipped titles as a TA artist.
Knowledge of Blender and Geometry Nodes
Experience authoring custom and optimized materials.
Understanding in lighting, shading and post processing effects
